BIOGRAPHY

On top of his screenwriting endeavors Sam is also a script consultant, screenwriting tutor and has directed more than 40 professional theatre, musical and opera  productions, produced two stage plays and very, very occasionally, acts.

Recent Film
: 3 HOURS (Progression Media Ltd) Tribeca Doha, Encounters.

Current Feature Film scripts optioned or in development include: THOUSAND MILE PATH (with Carol Iovanna at Illumination Productions,  New York); BACARDI BOB with Mark Dowd and Producer Wayne Henry (Dramaworks Film); THREE LEMONS with John Bishop and Producer Stuart Burrage, (Airborne Films); THE ISLANDERS with Jorg Tittel; HOKEY POKEY (Co writer with Jeff  Hayward for Flying High Productions Ltd, NZ).  BEARERS OF THE TORCH (Total Eclipse Films, SA) GET IT ON a wild biopic about Marc Bolan: with Mark Paytress and Sara Morrison.

Consulted on
:  ELIMINATE ARCHIE COOKSON (Secret Agent Pictures) In Post Production. DYING FOR LOVE and 50 MILLION DOLLAR BONE are optioned to Amuletto Productions.

Stage
:  20 produced plays include: the European Drama Award winning: THAT SHRINKING FEELING (Deutsches NationalTheater, Weimar); THE SUITCASE KID (Brix Theatre and Tricycle Theatre, London). IF ONLY...(Expedition Theatre Company); IRON BREW (Volapuk Festival Oslo. Gilded Balloon, Edinburgh. Working Stage, Los Angeles, CA) and the stage musical: JESSE JAMES-BREAKING NEWS (with composer Barry Upton). Currently writing a script with Alex Helfrecht based on her adaptation of Hemingway’s FIESTA.
